And just like that it’s summer!
The kids are out of school for summer break. VBS is about to begin. The Men’s and Women’s Ministries are on summer break, too. Summer temperatures have already arrived. Vacations are starting. Everything is on schedule!
Matthew 24:32
From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
The Bible speaks of summer as a time of growth and blessing, harvest and reflections. Summer is also presented as a time of joy and celebration. Summer offers us a chance for more outdoor time where we can reflect on God’s creation. Summer can be a time of great spiritual growth!
Summer also reminds us that things are transpiring right on schedule. World events are happening right on schedule. Everything is moving forward to a specified day in history: The return of Jesus Chris!
Matthew 24:33
So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
Please be praying for VBS! Beginning on the 8th of June our property will host well over 100 kids, plus youth and adult volunteers, for a weeklong, all day, celebration of who Jesus really is! Illumination Station!
VBS is important to me. I was saved at a VBS. Many of these kids will make important decisions about who Jesus is in their lives. Many of the families who send their children to VBS do not have church homes. Pray for those families.
Finally, include the Bank Fundraising Committee in your prayers. They have been tasked with the responsibility of organizing a fundraising strategy that will help us to finally get the bank building renovated and used for the glory of God!
