I’ve got some very good news for you!
It’s September! Fall is coming!
The continuous days of 100 degree temperatures will soon be over.
I just returned from spending time with my mother and sister in Washington state and the leaves have already begun to change.
I cannot wait for the first cold front!
September is a month of beginnings.
Last Sunday was “Moving Up” Sunday for the young members of the church. They’re beginning a new season in the Youth group or in a new class.
That’s exciting! Praise God for our Youth and Children Ministries!
We will also begin to see flag football and cheerleading happening on our property. Upward Sports begins a new season of serving our community and sharing the Gospel.
Praise God for the volunteers that make this important and successful ministry possible.
Both the Men’s and Women’s Ministry begin a new season on Sunday night (Women) and Monday night (Men). How blessed we are to be in a church that has so many different discipleship opportunities. Praise God for those who lead and attend!
We celebrate all the new beginnings each year with a Pig Roast! On Monday September 7th chef John Mayes will once again prepare a whole pig for us! Steve Balistreri will be grilling the hamburgers and you can bring a side! There will be plenty for everyone! Praise God for church fellowships and talented cooks!
There is another new beginning in our church. We are implementing Church Center for the entire church. Announcements with QR codes are located throughout the building. Please download the app. If you need help or have questions let us know.
Let me close with two quotes from Scripture.
Job 12:7-10 “But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
Psalm 150:8 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
God bless, Pastor Rob
