BLESSED

On the 1st of October, we ordained two new deacons, Steve Balistreri and Ken Gardner.  Both men meet the qualifications of a deacon found in Scripture:

1 Tim 3:8-13… Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

We’re blessed as a church body to have strong Christian men among us. We are also blessed to have a growing Men’s Ministry that is equipping the future deacons of the church!!!  God is moving among the men as we saw an attendance record the last week of September with 51 men gathered on Monday Night!

We are also blessed to have such an awesome Women’s Ministry!  They start on the 1st of October and already have 37 women registered!  Based on experience and knowing the quality of the teachers, this is going to be an awesome study!

We are blessed to have several Sunday School opportunities all led by great teachers!

We are blessed to have a growing youth group with awesome leadership!

We are blessed with worship!  Have you heard the Praise Team?  Wow!

We are blessed with a ton of kids and a full (sometimes loud) nursery!

We are blessed to have the facilities we have that will allow for our growth and to have the property we do to hold our community outreach events!

We are blessed with each other.  Nothing in this world compares to the blessing of a strong church family.

We are blessed with Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat o scoffers: but his delight is in the law of the lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.  He is like planted by streams of water that yields fruit in season, and its leaf does not wither.  In all he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3)

    Blessed, indeed!

    Pastor Rob
