I'm excited for the season ahead

Our annual Pumpkin Patch is up and running. We do this each year as a service for our community. Our volunteers set up several picture taking stations in the Pumpkin Patch and families from the community come with their family (and pets) to take pictures. We do not charge for this. The pumpkins are, however, for sale and helps cover the cost of the Pumpkin Patch.

The presence of the Pumpkin Patch, of course, means that our annual Craft and Candy Night is about to happen! On Saturday Oct 25th the field and the south parking lot will be filled with craft and candy booths with all the trimmings! There will be bounce houses and games, cotton candy and much more! This event is always a great time!!

May I encourage you this month? October can be a difficult month for Christ followers, particularly for parents of young children. Inevitably you will run smack into all the hoopla surrounding Halloween. Please know that I am praying for you as you navigate a difficult path.

Perhaps the words of the apostle Paul to the Philippians will guide you.

    Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me-practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

September 25 was National Back to Church Sunday. Just a reminder, the doors to the church are open every Sunday! You can come back to church or invite friends to church every week! The men have been exploring Discipleship on Monday Nights and part of the definition for a disciple is someone who leads others to follow Jesus. Think about that.

I'm excited for the season ahead of the church. I'm seeing measurable spiritual growth. More of you are in the Word and it shows! It shows in the increased number of you seeking opportunities to serve!

There are many opportunities for you each week to be discipled. We have Sunday School classes available, Men's Monday Night, Women's Ministry on Sunday evenings and of course our Wednesday Evening Service where we have just started making our way through the Book of Revelation. Take advantage of what's available!

    God Bless, Pastor Rob
