“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:8-14
Good news… great joy… for all the people… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
What a year we have had!
Individually and as a church body we have been through quite a few ups and downs in 2024. I’m guessing that 2025 is not going to be much different. And I’m Ok with that.
Every victory we experience is an opportunity to thank God for His provision.
Every challenge and defeat we experience offers us an opportunity to go deep with God and rest on His unchangeable promises.
He is faithful. He is merciful. He is love. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The end of one year and the beginning of another is an excellent time to remind ourselves of what is truly important; The Good News! As we end 2024 and begin 2025 let’s keep the main thing the main thing!
I’m thankful for a praying church. Let’s be extra attentive in praying for each other during the Holiday season. Though a time of great joy, this time can also be very difficult for some.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
God bless, Pastor Rob
