Let Your Light Shine

    Thank you!

I can’t express my gratitude enough to all of you for your overwhelming support during this past month.

The Celebration of Life for Gerda was so far beyond anything we might have imagined!

    Thank you!

It’s hard to believe that we are already in November.

This year has passed so quickly!  We are, however, entering my favorite time of the year.

Besides the cooler temperatures, I love the rhythm of the holidays – our annual Fall celebration “Craft and Candy Night in the Pumkin Patch”, Community Thanksgiving meal boxes, our church-wide Thanksgiving dinner gathering the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and then December…I love it!

This time of year encourages us to be purposeful in sharing the love of Christ.  We do so as a church in several different ways.  What I would like to encourage you to consider is how are you being purposeful in sharing the Love of Christ personally?  As a family?

Kind, loving gestures shared during the holiday season with those who are in need, make lasting impressions for Christ.

Hebrews 10:24 - And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.

James 1:27 - Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

The Bible consistently encourages us to do good works.  The Holiday season reminds us of that!

Please begin planning for the Thanksgiving dinner on the 26th of November.

Consider what you can bring, but even more importantly, consider WHO you can bring!

    And don’t forget to vote!

    God bless, Pastor Rob
