The Perfect Time

It hurts. It’s difficult.  It’s stressful.

    Change.

You and I are created in the Image of God. As such, we have attributes that are unique in all creation. We can reason and think and make choices. And, praise God, we can change! We have all experienced huge changes in our lives. For most of us, the biggest change happened when we accepted Christ as our Lord and God, our Savior, and changed from an unrepentant sinner to a born-again, baptized believer!

Change is a normal part of our lives and a normal part of the life of a church.

Just as it is in our personal lives, change in a church’s life hurts, it is difficult and stressful. None the less, all things eventually do change.

We are experiencing one of those changes right now.

As we pray our way through these changes I am reminded that there is only one person that never changes: Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Let’s focus and cling to Him as we together wait for His plan and His purpose in the changes happening in His church, amen?

August often feels like the calm before the storm. The church is gearing up for the re-launch of many ministries in September that have been on summer break.

This is the perfect time to find a new place to serve in the church.

There is a great need for volunteers in the nursery and in the Children’s department. Upward Sports is seeking volunteers to help with the Fall Flag Football and Cheerleading ministry. The Deacon’s need help with organizing general church maintenance needs. The Security Team is seeking more volunteers.

But the greatest need is prayer. Prayer changes things.

    God bless,
    Pastor Rob
