Can you believe we are already halfway through 2024?
We crowned a new Gumbo Cook Off champion at the end of April. Congratulations to Karen Mayes!
Our Quarterly Business Meeting and Annual Budget meeting was held on May 19th.
We are all blessed to be part of a church that can conduct the business of the church with such love and unity. Many important decisions have been made that will affect us going forward. We voted to invest in some much-needed campus upgrades and maintenance. You can expect to see parking lot improvements, roof work on the portables and the Annex, a new Steeple, new gutters on the main building and the rubber mulch in the playground to be replenished!
We also voted to delay any decisions concerning the renovation of the bank until the next Business Meeting. Please be in prayer for God’s guidance and our obedience as we move forward with this process!
And big news! The new bathrooms in the portable buildings are ready! This is a big step for the children’s department who will no longer have to escort children back to the main building! This turned out to be a much more difficult project than first expected.
Be sure to thank Pastor Cory for seeing this project through!!!
VBS is in a few weeks. We are full. The waiting lists are full. We stopped taking anymore applications. The current registered number is 124. WOW!
Please consider volunteering to help or to donate. Donations of snack items and bottled water are always appreciated! We will serve nearly 2,000 snacks throughout the week and make our way through nearly a pallet of water! Monetary donations towards VBS are also appreciated. Remember that our VBS is free to all who attend.
The purpose of VBS is to share the gospel. Our prayer is that families will come to Christ through VBS.
The purpose of all the renovation is to share the gospel and disciple those who have accepted Christ.
The purpose of our church is to glorify God in all we do!
