Where There Is No Vision, The People Perish

Where there is no vision, the people perish… That’s how Proverbs 29:18 begins in the King James version of the Bible.

Do you know what would be awesome?

A place where we could host Women’s Sunday Night without having to disassemble the sanctuary right after the Sunday Services! It would be fantastic to have a place where we could host Men’s Monday Night without having to reassemble the sanctuary afterwards.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have a place where we could gather for our Thanksgiving meal, the Chili Cook Off, Valentines Day Banquet, the Gumbo cookoff?

Consider the other possibilities a space like that would offer for ministry! That’s the vision. We have that space!

Several years ago the Lord made it possible for us to purchase the former Wells Fargo Bank. A much-appreciated donation combined with church funds allowed us to purchase the property way below market value.

We are now ready to start fulfilling the next part of the vision; a Fellowship space.

FBC Seabrook is debt free. We voted last year to remain debt free. Hallelujah!

This month, on Oct 11th, we begin a fundraising campaign to transform the bank into a fellowship space and a couple of classrooms.

This campaign, “Feeding the Faith”, will be done in three phases of $100,000 each.

I am excited about this faith opportunity.

Almighty God has blessed us and shown Himself strong in our church many, many times. I am certain He will do the same as we step out in faith for this vision!

An important part of this effort is the new Church Center app. If you haven’t already, please scan the QR code on the bulletin board in the church building, and join Church Center. This will become our new online giving platform.

I am so grateful for the volunteers in our church who serve in so many ways! It is absolutely amazing what the Lord accomplishes through your willingness to serve!

1 John 1:5-7 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

    God bless, Pastor Rob
