So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
We are coming to the end of AD 2019. It has been quite a year for our church. We’ve experienced some painful losses together. We have also experienced many miracles together!
We have seen and are experiencing the consequences of the construction on Hwy 146 together. We saw how the Lord answered our prayer for the former Wells Fargo building and property together (it is now called the Clark Center).
Mission trips, VBS, Bible Study, Sunday School, DLife Groups, Food Pantry, Thanksgiving Meal Boxes, Christmas Blessings, etc… All of them…together! For me, the most important part of all of this is that we are together.
Make no mistake, there are forces in the world dedicated to breaking up churches like ours. A church that remains together is a threat to the enemy. A broken church is not. A church that does life together can achieve incredible things in the Kingdom of God!
We remain together because of Jesus. He’s together with us. It’s in His name! Immanuel… God with us! Praise the Lord for His presence in our lives and our church!
I don’t remember entering a year with so many unknowns as we are in 2020. There are huge question marks over our property, the construction, attendance and finances. Your earnest prayer is greatly appreciated. I know that we will get through all of this as long as we remain together and have Jesus, God with us! Amen?
Gerda and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. We love you and are so thankful that we get to do life…together!
Merry Christmas and God bless,
