OCTOBER MESSAGE

This is the October Newsletter.  I can’t believe I just wrote that...

Somehow, we have made it to the 10TH month of the year, the 8TH month of the COVID experience and the 5TH month of hurricane season.  Thank you, Jesus!

Despite the obstacles we’ve encountered the church continues to be the church!  We’ve been open for in-person worship with both a 9:30am and 11:00am services since June.  Our children’s department is back up and running.  Men’s Monday Night has started, and the Women’s Bible study started on the 27TH of September.  We have both the prayer and Bible Study service on Wednesday evening as well as the youth meeting.  All Sunday school classes are up and running.  We do miss those who have not yet come back and are ready for you when you’re ready to return!

We’ve also been busy with collecting and sending hurricane relief supplies to Louisiana.  I am always so encouraged when I see our church being the church!!!

The next few months, I am sure, will prove to be no less challenging.  We are working on ways to reestablish some of our Fellowship events, particularly Thanksgiving!  Please pray for your church leadership as we try to navigate through whatever is ahead!

Also, we have Baptisms scheduled for the second service on Oct 18TH.  If you’ve never followed the Lord in Believer’s Baptism this your invitation!  You can reach out to me or the church office with any questions concerning baptism.

I’ve shared with the men my views on what I think is going to happen after the upcoming presidential election.  I believe that, regardless of who wins, we are going to see violence in our nation that exceeds anything any of us have seen in our lifetimes.  Our nation NEEDS our prayer now more than ever!  It also needs our participation more than ever.  Please vote!

Through whatever lies ahead, our calling does not change.  We are to be the church.  We are to share the gospel, love one another, love our neighbors, feed the poor, visit the widow’s and the prisoners, and glorify God in all we do!  Remember, He is Sovereign in all of this.  We need not be fearful or worry!

    Rev 5:11-14

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

    God bless, Pastor Rob
